Privacy Policy
Effective: November 7, 2026
This website is run by Shiawassee County Fair (“we” or “us”). Fairs.com builds and manages it for us. This policy explains what information we collect on this website and how we use it.
Information we collect
- What you give us. When you fill out a form, sign up for emails or texts, enter a contest or contact us, we receive what you send, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address and message.
- What’s collected automatically. When you visit, we and the companies that help us run the site collect information such as your IP address, approximate location (city or region), browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the website or ad that brought you here. We collect it with cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
Google Analytics and advertising tools
- We and Fairs.com, our website provider, use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site. Google Analytics uses cookies. To learn how Google uses this information, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, install Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- We may also use advertising tools such as the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel, the TikTok Pixel or Google Ads to measure our ads and to show ads to people who have visited this site. These companies may collect information about your visits to this and other websites over time.
- You can turn off personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com and from Facebook and Instagram at accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences, and opt out of interest-based ads from many other companies at optout.aboutads.info.
How we use information
To run and improve the site; answer your questions; send the emails and texts you signed up for; manage contests, entries and other things you request; measure and improve our marketing; keep the site and our visitors safe; and comply with the law. Fairs.com also uses combined website statistics that don’t identify you to improve its services.
How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it with:
- companies that help us run this site and our services, including Fairs.com and our hosting, analytics, email and text-message providers, who may use it only to provide those services;
- the advertising companies described above;
- authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our visitors and events;
- a new owner or operator, if we or Fairs.com reorganize or transfer our business.
Some state laws treat advertising cookies and pixels as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, or as “targeted advertising.” You can opt out using the ad-settings links above or by emailing websites@fairs.com.
Buying tickets
If you buy tickets through Fairs.com, your purchase is covered by the Fairs.com Privacy Policy at fairs.com/privacy. If we sell tickets through another company, that company’s privacy policy applies. We don’t store payment card numbers on this website.
Emails and text messages
You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. If you sign up for text messages, reply STOP to any message to stop them. We don’t share mobile numbers or text-message sign-ups with other companies for their own marketing.
Cookies and your choices
You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well. This site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have about you, and get a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.

An authorized agent can make a request for you. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
Children
This site is for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email websites@fairs.com and we’ll delete it.
Keeping information safe
